ROUTE

  • The "Fundación César Manrique" was the home and workshop of the brilliant artist. Its architecture is particularly striking. A large part of this unusual house is integrated into one of the longest lava rivers on the islands. Natural lava walls and their curious shapes were his residence for two decades and the inspiration for his creations that made Manrique a unique artist.
  • Cactus Garden was the last great intervention of César Manrique in Lanzarote. The eyes of the Lanzarote artist saw beyond the degraded space that was an old rocky area, it houses around 4,500 specimens of 450 different species grouped together from 13 families of cacti from the five continents. The greenery of the plants contrasts with the blue of the sky and the black of the volcano to create a harmonious explosion of colour that makes an impact on the visitor.
  • Free time in the Royal Town of Teguise, which was the capital of Lanzarote until 1852. It then passed to Arrecife due to its status as a seaport, making Teguise the second most important town on Lanzarote. Apart from enjoying the old town, on Sundays there is a nice market where you can enjoy the local gastronomy, handicrafts and souvenirs among many other things...

MEETING POINT AT THE PORT
